HOME DEPOT campaigns
I worked on a variety of collateral and extra initiatives in addition to my everyday tasks. Microsites, pitches, magazine ads, and emails would all occur steadily, each with their own initiatives and teams to work with. Additionally, I had the opportunity to write slogans on the company t-shirt for the Peachtree Road Race.
“SEIZE THE DIY” CAMPAIGN PITCH
I pitched a campaign idea named “Seize the DIY.” This acted as a call to customers to take on projects they may have let slide. The goal would be to empower them, and show what’s possible when they take matters into their own hands. This pitch included headlines and extensions across multiple channels, including online advertising units and mobile app activations. The messaging was written to support campaigns as they would run over the whole year.
MY MARKETING TAB
This microsite was designed as a way to let stores know about the current promotions and brand stories. It included weekly updates with engaging stories about customers alongside articles about new items on their way to stores. I wrote headlines and sub-headlines and arranged the stories with a consistent voice.
PEACHTREE ROAD RACE T-SHIRT AND TAGLINE
The company would annually send a t-shirt to all associates who ran the popular long-running road race. This shirt would have a design and tagline, and entrants across the creative department would send tagline ideas. This particular year, my tagline won and was used on the t-shirt that all associates would wear as they ran the race.
